Fees
Everything we charge, in one place, plus the one thing a coin's creator can charge you. No hidden spreads, and every rate is on the coin before you trade.
What you pay
| You | Creation cost | Bond | Trade fee | Network fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cook, no buy-in | — | None on a canon or crew coin; — on your own | Nothing. Cooking is never charged one | Inside the creation cost |
| Cook, with a buy-in | —, on top of the buy-in | Same as above | Nothing. An Opening Round buy is never charged one | Inside the creation cost |
| Buy a coin that exists | Nothing | None | — to Trenches on most coins, shown on the coin before you trade | ~0.00001 SOL, plus any priority fee |
Every rate
Trading on the bonding curve — 0% on most coins. A coin can carry a curve fee, shown on the coin before you trade, and every buy and sell you sign names the most it will accept. Solana network fees still apply. | |
Opening Round buy We charge nothing on a buy in the 20-second Opening Round, whatever the coin's curve rate is. There is no moment at which a fee could be disclosed to you, so none is taken. | 0% |
Graduation fee Of the SOL in the curve when it graduates: 5% on the $2,500 tier — its raise is the smallest, and the fee still has to cover opening the Raydium pool — and 3% on all five larger ones. Taken once. The table below has the exact raise each tier graduates on. | 3–5% |
Pool fee after graduation Raydium's 1% tier currently pays about 0.84% to LPs — that LP is ours and is locked forever — and Raydium keeps the rest. Raydium sets that split and can change it. | 1% |
Routing to a coin that isn't ours When most of a coin's volume is somewhere else (pump.fun, for instance) we route your swap through Jupiter with a 1% referral fee. | 1% |
Spam bond, on a coin you cook yourself Refunded when your coin graduates. If it hasn't graduated in 7 days it goes to Trenches — which is what happens to most coins. Canon and crew coins post none. | 0.05 SOL |
Graduation fee by tier
| Tier | Supply | Fee |
|---|---|---|
$2,500 raises 9.184 SOL | 444M | 5% 0.46 SOL |
$5,000 raises 16.45 SOL | 625M | 3% 0.49 SOL |
$10,000 raises 28.41 SOL | 790M | 3% 0.85 SOL |
$25,000 raises 54.644 SOL | 938M | 3% 1.64 SOL |
$50,000 raises 85.791 SOL | 1.00B | 3% 2.57 SOL |
$100,000 raises 130.87 SOL | 1.04B | 3% 3.93 SOL |
We re-tune this table as SOL moves. That changes what a new coin raises and never what an existing coin does: a coin keeps the raise it started with.
Where the rest goes
- After the graduation fee, the curve's SOL and the reserved tokens go into a Raydium pool whose LP is locked forever.
- Pool fees arrive in both SOL and the memecoin. We sell the memecoin half in small daily amounts, and we publish that we do.
- Scouts are recorded on the coin. If it graduates, 25% of our pool-fee income from it is split between the coin's Scouts and the tweet's author — or its creator, or the crew treasury, depending on how the coin came about. Most coins never graduate. Amounts are recorded from day one; payouts ship in v1.1.
Every rate above except the routing fee is enforced on-chain by the Trenches program; routing is a referral fee on Jupiter's swap. The program is a beta and a bug could lose everything it holds. It has a pause switch that an automatic invariant monitor can trigger, and its upgrade authority sits in a 2-of-3 multisig. Each coin's curve is bounded by its own tier, so one coin holds at most the raise in the table above before it migrates to Raydium — that is a bound on one coin, not on what the program holds in total.
